What would cause my pressure washer won’t start blows gas back through the carberator?

Sounds like the intake valve is sticking open. The other thing I can think of is the key between the flywheel and crankshaft is sheared causing the ignition timing to be off.
karcher pressure washer wont work like normal?
By admin | Posted in gas pressure washer | 2 Comments »i have a karcher 2500psi gas power washer i bought from costco 5 years ago, it runs fine every summer. this spring i took it out and power washed half of my driveway, i turned it off to take a break, when i turned it back on and started power washing, it would only shoot a weak stream. not enough to even break the dirt away, almost like a garden hose. I changed spark plugs, filled gas , filled oil. it will power wash for about 2 seconds, then go back to garden hose stream. i take off the nozzle, put it back on, and i get another 2 seconds, i have to keep repeating. but its senseless to keep doing this .
what could be the problem?
i noticed whenever the pressure washer does work it will jerk, then will go to garden hose stream mode
any help? thanks
Sounds like you need to replace the check valves in the pump. Or the pressure relief valve could be sticking open from trash or corrosion. You could try and clean them out. Probably will need to rebuild the pump.
What should I do? Am I getting ripped off?
By admin | Posted in commercial pressure washer | 1 Comment »I bought a lawnmower from sears and it work good for about a year. Then one day it would start up but would not stay on. I had a 2 year guarantee. So i went and dropped off my lawnmower. They said they’ll fix it. Then they took about a week and called me saying that I would have to pay 299.99 to get the lawnmower fixed. Now the lawnmower isn’t even worth 299.99 for a brand new one. So I called those people and they said my lawnmower is no longer in this state it is at the repair shop in maryland. So I called them and no one ever picks up the phone. Its been like a months. I had to rent a lawnmower. Which also cost me 30 bucks. What would you do?

first of all, this is in the wrong section and has nothing to do with dental issues…
but i read it anyways and yes, I do think your getting ripped off. just think, paying to repair something for more than it cost to buy it is definitely a rip off. then it also depends on why its not working. the guarantee says it’ll cover for any defects product for free but then the list for what they don’t cover for seems more likely to what happen to the lawn mover..even though i don’t know the story.
try sending a complaint to the manger and hopefully everything will be solved or you can just save up those 30 bucks to buy a new one instead of having the old one repaired. good luck.
Water pressure in shower/tub is messed up?
By admin | Posted in hot water pressure washer | 1 Comment »We have a single-handle faucet in the tub/shower. When it’s all the way to the left or right (all hot or all cold), there is enough pressure. When you adjust the water temp by moving the knob toward the middle, the pressure drops a great deal and makes for a miserable shower.
Is it a washer? Something else? How can I fix it?
It is a little hard to say what exactly is wrong with it but it sounds as if as you turn the handle some of the ports are becoming blocked. This could be by pieces of an "O" ring. One solution is to replace the cartridge. This is done by turning off the water, removing the handle, removing the mechanism that holds the cartridge in place. (this could be a cotter pin or a nut.) and then removing the cartridge. To get it out you may need to reattach the handle. Once you have it out check inside the hole for debris. Take the cartridge to a plumbing supply shop for a matched replacement.
Honda GCV160 engine cord stuck on pressure washer?
By admin | Posted in gas pressure washer | 2 Comments »I was using the pressure washer with no problems. Then it just quit running. I checked the gas and saw that it was real low, so I added some more gas (had been using this gas all evening). When I tried to pull the cord, it only pulled a few inches and retracted. The cord will not pull at all now. This pressure washer has only been used for about 4 hours since purchase. I appreciate all assistance!
is there a warranty on it ? if there is take it back.
